Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is a key member of the Finance Management Team. The role will effectively manage all company’s spending pool to work closely with Agronomy Director and Supply Chain, as their key Finance contact, with timely and insightful communications on future movements of total delivered costs to our customers.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Reporting & Financial Data Management
• Manage the accurate delivery of agronomy and supply chain results
• Develop standardized, user-friendly reporting formats and ensure key insights re understood to inform strategic decision making
• Manage controls to ensure shareholder returns are maximized
• Lead improvement opportunities
• Management of inventory holdings
Leadership & Business Partnering
• Build partnerships and effective relationships with key stakeholders (Agronomy, Supply Chain, Finance, external partners)
• Influence and drive right behaviors and accountability, and look for continuous improvement of systems and processes to deliver business results
• Lead by example and ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures & values
• Manage outcomes through cross functional teams
• Influence and drive accountability, transparency and be the change agent
Business Partnering
• Manage the provision of supply data responses to demand plans, timely analysis and insight to enable accurate and efficient Supply Planning via IBP process
• Represent Supply Finance at National Supply Review as required
• Drive effective financial management routines for Supply chain functions
• Identify & proactively manage risks and opportunities
• Co-ordinate and provide analysis for annual plan and forecasting process across Supply Teams
• Finance input to Agronomy, Network, Sourcing, Capital and new product development plans
• Provide financial analytical advice with the objective of optimizing the use of capital budget (Stay in Business vs. Profit Improvement Projects). Accountable for monitoring of performance against the capital plan –aggregated IRR, ROI achievements by sites, hubs and markets.
Growth
• In-depth analysis (incl. variance) of volume, gross revenue, NSR, SC, trade spend & DME to contribute to development of strategies and effectiveness which maximize business profitability & metrics
• NPD – develop & improve tools to analyses the performance of NDP including in-depth analysis with commercial finance to support the realization of business benefits
• Support the delivery of all product innovation initiatives, working collaboratively with commercial finance, marketing, procurement and innovation terms
Costing
• Develop network costing model to drive maximum profit by delivering lowest delivered cost to our customers
• Provide analytical support for capital tactics, clear insights to ensure future plans deliver optimal returns and support our commercial plans
Develop standardized tools to allow for streamlined costing updates on a quarterly to our commercial partners and intercompany customers
• Where applicable coordinate FX contract with treasury to mitigate the exposure
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or above, major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant subjects.
• 5 years+ Strategy or Finance experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success and experience in Partnering within Agronomy and Supply Chain functions
• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong credible customer relationships to deliver business outcomes
• Track record in partnering with business stakeholder group, providing supply or agronomy insights
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross functionally to deliver business results & change
• Ability to translate complex information into insights and actionable reports
• Ability to travel frequently
