At ZEISS Vision Care / Extended Reality (XRX) you will be part of innovative technology projects in the rapidly growing area of Extended Reality as Data Analysis Engineer Operations (m/f/x). Through your work, you will contribute to the direct success and the development of the strategic business unit of the ZEISS Group.
With your hands on mentality, you will support at the important interface between Operations, IT and Quality to realize ambitious goals in terms of quality, delivery speed, cost and flexibility with demanding customers.
Role:
● Maintain existing databases and data flows, focusing on efficient and high-performance data access while ensuring high data quality
● Design structured reports and shopfloor visualizations, including data preparation and transformation
● Develop creative solutions to enable full traceability, even during early prototyping phases without full IT support
● Define IT and data requirements, including modeling the corresponding business and process flows, with a deep understanding of existing data architecture and logic
● Collaborate closely with operations teams to identify areas for data driven improvements
● Provide consulting to the business side on data-related questions and offer guidance in a pragmatic, problem-solving manner
● Align with a global cross-functional team and partner with other departments (Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain etc.) to ensure end-to-end data integration
Profile:
● Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline
● Advanced proficiency in SQL (e.g. T-SQL, Azure Databricks SQL) or comparable database language for efficient data storage and access, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity
● Expertise in Python (e.g. Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, APIs..), with an ability to apply various data techniques from log file processing, data pipelines to actual statistical analysis and visualization
● Knowledge of MS Power BI for the creation of structured reports
● Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies as needed
● Strong affinity for operational processes and the ability to effectively bridge them to their data footprint for driving data driven improvements
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a global team, with a hands-on mentality in an agile environment
● Fluent in English, both spoken and written
