岗位概述 Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Process & Industrialization Engineer to support the scaling and automation of manufacturing processes for electro-active eyewear components within the Disruptive Technologies Program in China. This role will focus on process development, optimization, in-line functional testing integration, and fixture/tooling design, working closely with global R&D teams to industrialize next-generation products. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial process development, automation, electrical testing, and tooling design for optical or high-precision manufacturing. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional international teams to innovate and enhance our product offerings in the ophthalmic lens market.

主要职责 Main Task

• Process Development: Lead the design and process development of electro-active eyewear, Design and optimize fixtures and tools for SFB (semi-finished blank) injection molding, casting, and handling processes; implement and scale up manufacturing processes for electro-active eyewear in alignment with ZEISS global teams

• Automation Integration: Implement automation solutions to enhance production capabilities, reduce costs, and improve product consistency.

• Electronic Engineering: Collaborate with electronic engineering teams to integrate electronic components into lens systems, ensuring functionality and reliability. Perform electrical testing of subcomponents during process development and validation.

• Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Global R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing teams to align product development with market needs and company goals. Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth line ramp-up, equipment qualification, and yield improvement.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for safety and performance.

• Documentation and Reporting: Document and transfer process instructions, working standards, and validation results into the production environment.

工作经验/经历 Work Experience

Requires Engineering and > 5 years' experience in engineering.

Knowledge/Skills

• Technical Skills:

• Strong background in automation and electronic engineering.

• Familiarity with materials used in lens manufacturing and electrochromic technologies.

• Hands-on experience with automation, fixture/tooling design, and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

• Familiarity with injection molding processes and plastic part handling

• Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively. Proficient in technical documentation, FMEA, and root cause analysis

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Fluent in Mandarin and English; able to prepare presentations and conduct data analysis.

• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
