• As China is the growing market for passenger cars, we are currently looking for an experienced expert who shares the same passion and enthusiasm for driving our China specific development for providing the best Parking System to our customers. We are located in Beijing (Wangjing and Yizhuang) and Shanghai Pudong. Our development team is fully responsible and driving the development of the Autonomous Parking for Mercedes-Benz cars.
• In this position, you will be deeply involved in and take responsibility for the technical integration and development of the L4 Parking System with all key partner components. This may include high-precision maps, multi-source fusion positioning systems for scenarios like underground parking garage, lateral and longitudinal vehicle control for precise trajectory tracking and comfortable maneuvering, perception and decision-planning systems for handling complex dynamic obstacles. You will need to conduct in-depth technical exchanges, solution alignments, and joint debugging with technical suppliers or internal teams for each module, ensuring the technical solution solutions meet Mercedes-Benz safety and experience criteria.
• Furthermore, you will also be responsible for the vehicle-cloud data pipeline essential for L4 Parking services. You will lead technical discussions and joint development with Telematics Control Unit(TCU) and Mercedes cloud platform teams to define necessary requirements and interfaces
• You will lead the development testing, verification and issue resolution process from modules to the complete system.
• Work in collaboration with China stakeholders like Marketing, Product management, China requirement, Quality, Overall Vehicle Testing and other internal Project teams on Chinese customer study and research, provide compective parking product to our customers.
Tasks:
Define Functional Requirements
- Define and review the AVP/L4 Parking main user journey , use cases, functional requirements as the key team member
- Define System Functions based on functional requirements (e.g. Customer Function Effect Chains)
Requirements to partner components
- Define, exchange and align functional requirements with all related other components
Feature Implementation
- Take care of feature implementation, check progress and challenges and align on next steps to ensure delivery in time and quality
Function Testing & Verification
- Lead joint testing: define customer function level test cases and KPIs, work with SFO/SW developers/ROV for each case realization and performance promotion.
- Analyze relevant data to identify defects and refine the requirements.
- Analyze and drive issues fix for relevant findings.
• Master or above in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrial or Computer Science Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with automated parking systems, experience for L4 parking or L4-like function development will be preferred.
• Fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
• The ability of L4 parking system architecture (Physical, Logic Archi), system element component design, functional and non-functional design, SW architecture design experience is beneficial.
• Experience in vehicle ADAS related fields in OEM/Tier1, SOP experience/Parking function development experience would be preferred.
• Ability of requirement analysis, development and documentation , knowledge of requirement management.
• Know well of ADAS operating principle, regulation, development process and method, ASPICE, Fusa, SOTIF, Cyber security.
• Knowledge in EE components (USS, camera, radar, lidar), steering and braking system, architecture design, automotive bus system including Flexray, Ethernet, SOME/IP, CAN, LIN, etc. and familiar with diagnostic tools such as CANoe/Vehicle SPY3, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal guidance. Self-motivated and able to prioritize conflicting demands effectively.
