China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz. In Mercedes-Benz R&D China. We strive to provide the best China-fit ADAS/AD products through advanced technologies to our Chinese customers. We are currently looking for ADAS/AD experts who share the same passion and enthusiasm for developing a China-fit ADAS/AD system.
In this position, you will be part of the AD Data Engine team in R&D China and responsible for AD Data collection software development in ADAS/AD system. You will be working with different Mercedes-Benz carlines and different function owners.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for system level as well as SW specification and development. You will also manage the data collection functions with different counterparts and ensure to deliver the required data collection function according to project timeline. You should have strong software development, software architecture, and issue analytical skills. You will:
1. Act as software owner of AD Data collector
• Together with system function owners and data consumer stakeholders work on AD Data collector specification
• Develop AD Data collection functions according to the specification
• Regularly participate in test events, as well as independently plan and execute verification for fixed defect tickets.
• Analyze and debug potential root causes of AD Data collector issues found during testing
• Make sure the designed solution fulfils technical requirements as well as data security and cybersecurity requirements.
2. Support on ADAS/AD functions development
• Collaborate with cross-functional specialists and partners (including algorithm, big data analysis team) to consolidate data use cases required by ADAS/AD systems development, and implement these requirements in data collection software
3. Foster One Data collection solution with stakeholders
• Work together with supplier to make sure the deliveries meet MB’s expectations
• Build up efficient communication mechanism with supplier and HQ to promote One data collection solution worldwide
• Bachelor/Master degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Vehicle Engineering or related field of study
• At least 5 years working Experience in OEM or ADAS provider company
• At least 3 years hands-on coding experience in AD/ADAS areas with C++, familiar with C, Java, Java script, Python etc.
• Experience with ADAS/AD system, domain controller, AUTOSAR AP/ROS/Apollo CyberRT and data collector E2E development
• Experience in defining software and hardware requirements, technical implementation and testing methodologies
• Experience in cooperation with multi-partners for ADAS/AD on-board SW development.
• Experience in test and validate ADAS/AD functions or data collection functions on system and software level by means of test bench or vehicle.
• Experience with ASPICE software development from SWE1 to SWE6
• Deep understanding of AD data collection concept as well as big data solutions in ADAS/AD domain in the industry, include the objective, benefit, frontend/backend resources usage, and the basic mechanism.
• Strong understanding of autonomous driving technologies and the data requirements in this field
• Knowledge of data protection laws, privacy regulations, and best practices
• Familiar with getting technical (CPU loading, Bandwidth, RAM, NVM)/compliance boundary (judgement of personal information, sensitive areas or potential map & surveying related activities)
• Ability to develop triggering & filtering management data collection SW
• Proficiency in embedded SW development, data management tools, data transfer protocols, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Interpersonal skills, able to drive alignment across different teams
• A proactive and results-oriented approach to work
• Fluent English language skills
• Willingness to travel inside China and abroad
