Component development and system adaptation
• Support purchasing/quality department for local supplier nomination & development.
• Overall responsibility for all local engineering activities regarding cooling/thermal system according to Mercedes-Benz Development System (MDS)
• Release component 3D/2D data together with suppliers, including technical documentation of engineering changes.
• Component level and System level testing and application to ensure functionality and system reliability.
• System contact for all questions about thermal management
Component Industrialization
• Local supplier evaluation regarding development and engineering capability
• Realize component series production from digital data freeze to PPAP (prototyping, PV testing, system testing etc.).
• System level interface to BBAC during project ramp up phase, coordinate global and local resource to solve and analyze system level malfunctions.
• Act as the window person between joint venture plant and RD Germany, provide technical support for production engineering issues.
• Engineering change management and implementation throughout product lifecycle.
Troubleshooting and System release
• Conduct system & vehicle level testing in the climatic wind tunnel & road tests to ensure functionality and system reliability.
• Troubleshooting and debugging in collaboration with RD Germany
• Issue tracking and reporting for management transparency
• Timely system release according to project milestones
• Observe series quality from the customer's point of view and manage series changes by working in an interdisciplinary and agile manner.
o Education
Bachelor/Master/PHD degree of automotive engineering
o Experience
1. Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills. German language and oversea experience preferred
2. Over 5 years working experience with vehicle thermal management system at main-stream suppliers or OEMs
o Specific Knowledge
1. Self-responsible working attitude and independent problem-solving skills
2. Good knowhow in thermal management system, as well as solid knowledge about the core components, such as thermal module, heat exchanger, AGS, etc.
3. Familiar with thermal management system in eDrive and cDrive, thermal protection for powertrain and EE.
4. Good understanding about vehicle load cases and operation strategy.
5. Strong planning and organizational skills, Intercultural competence
6. Good communication skills with external parties and internal parties
7. Team spirit, High commitment for automobiles and agility in diversified working packages
