Objectives:
• Work as sensor engineer of ADAS sensors (e.g. LiDAR, radar, camera) for the current and next generation ADAS/AD system.
• Develop and update reliability requirements for all ADAS sensors in accordance with Mercedes-Benz standards
• Engage with suppliers to ensure reliability requirements are clearly understood, oversee the testing process, conduct issue analysis, and establish measures for resolution and improvement
Tasks:
1. Work as sensor engineer of ADAS sensors (e.g. LiDAR, radar, camera) for the current and next generation ADAS/AD system
o Responsible for sensor supplier scouting and selection for current and next generation ADAS/AD system in accordance to Mercedes-benz standard.
o Generate release document regarding sensor reliability and robust design following Mercedes-benz standard.
2. Develop and update reliability requirements for all ADAS sensors in accordance with Mercedes-Benz standards
o Define and document reliability requirements for all ADAS sensors (e.g., LiDAR, radar, camera, ultrasonic) to ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz standards.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to communicate, clarify, and align on reliability expectations and technical specifications.
3. Engage with suppliers to ensure reliability requirements are clearly understood, oversee the testing process, conduct issue analysis, and establish measures for resolution and improvement
o Oversee and track the implementation of reliability testing, analyze test results, and identify root causes of any failures or deviations.
o Develop and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement measures based on issue analysis and feedback from testing and validation processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical/Electronics/Automation/Mechanical and other related majors;
• At least 5 years work experience on ADAS sensors;
• Deep understanding of E/E, mechanical, Tx/Rx design of ADAS sensors, familiar with basic principle of different ADAS sensors;
• Hands-on experience of automotive reliability design and testing of ADAS sensors, including camera, radar, LiDAR and ultrasonic sensor;
• Comprehensive knowledge of Automated Driving and Driver Assistance Systems.
• Good skills on C++/python programming;
• Experience in leading multi-parties cooperation in SW development and deployment;
• Self-responsibility, team player with very good communication skills and presentation skills;
• Familiar with diagnostic and simulation tools;
• Familiar with Linux operating system; Ability to work with Linux-based systems and command line tools. Experience of ROS programming is a plus;
• Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to support reliability activities and launches;
• Fluent English.
