• Develop and Calibrate EV drivability, torque structure, and advanced drive strategies, collaborating closely with component software engineers.
• Define and execute EV drive system test packages to ensure safe RD release.
• Provide local support for all MB EV variants sold in China
• Oversee variant development and lifecycle management for global EV projects under RD China’s responsibility
• Support homologation for both imported and locally produced carlines
• Analyze market-specific requirements for vehicles and customer behavior to ensure alignment with Mercedes' drive system market orientation
• Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies related to EV drive system development, testing, and integration, contributing to the enhancement of RD practices.
• Support the introduction of new technologies and innovations to maintain Mercedes-Benz’s competitive edge in the EV market.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in EV Drive System function development, calibration, testing, and integration, with a focus on drivability, torque structure, and intelligent/advanced drive strategy
• Hands-on experience with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, CANape, Monaco, and Diagmera, along with proficiency in standard measurement equipment
• Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, supporting efficient project workflows and task tracking
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to facilitating changes and improvements
• Self-motivated and innovative work style, with a continuous drive to enhance work efficiency and effectiveness
• A collaborative team player with a passion for knowledge-sharing and contributing to team success
• Enthusiastic about driving vehicles and open to travel as required
