Welcome to Legal Department

Legal Department is a group of experienced in-house counsels that works globally (mainly based in the US, China and Denmark). Our purpose is to assist our organization navigating a complex international business environment in a safe and efficient manner by giving timely practical legal advice.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• You will be assisting with the drafting and reviewing of certain commercial agreements, and you will help with our agreement database.


• You will assist in corporate filing works, including drafting and filing documents related to post merger entity integrations etc.


• You will assist in legal research related to corporate, regulatory, operation, employment, litigation matters etc.


• You will have the opportunities to assist with IP relevant matters, including trademark licensing, as well as trademark and patent enforcement actions etc.


• You will have the opportunities to work on compliance matters such as developing compliance policies and training materials, conduct compliance due diligence etc.


• You will assist in translating and maintaining legal support materials.

Qualification:

• You must have a bachelor law degree


• You must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing a higher degree


• It is important that you are able to quickly learn to digest complex written material and communicate key issues in a simple and precise manner to our internal stakeholders.


• Solid language skills in both English and Chinese are required


• A second foreign language competence is preferrable but not a must


• Prior legal job experience (e.g., internship with law firms) is preferrable but not a must.


• Competency in using digital tools in legal works is a nice plus.

Location:

This job will be located at Novonesis China Headquarters in Beijing. You are expected to work at the office at least two days a week and with flexibility to work remotely rest of the week.
