SEDL Mechanical Developer- R&D
For our Digital Factory Division in SEDL, we are looking for a Mechanical Developer- R&D in Shenzhen branch and focus on mechanical design for low voltage converter development.
Mission of Function?
Mechanical structure design and analysis, including heat design and analysis for low voltage AC&DC converter development
What are my responsibilities?
• Responsible for the structure scheme and drawing design of products, structural layout, thermal design and drawing review.
• Product structural design, Bom drawing output release.
• Prototype assembly, testing for mechanical content, review and technical support for mass-produced products.
• Maintenance of mass-produced products and implementation of cost reduction schemes
• Formulation of structural standards and formulation and release of various templates
• Optimize mechanical design with performance and cost considerations.
• Qualification and approval of mechanical parts of converter.
• Participate in global team (Chinese, German, etc.)
• Cooperate with global RD team to solve design changes caused by global material shortages
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· Major in mechanical design or related fields with more than 5 years of work experience. Priority will be given to those with relevant work experience in inverters.
· Proficient in using drafting software such as CroeE, SolidWorks, UG is prefer for drafting and 3D modeling, wiring harness and capable of thermal design.
· Understand EMC and safety regulations common sense, mechanical design knowledge and the ability of DFMEA analysis
· Familiar with common structural materials for power electronic products and sheet metal and cabinet structure design.
· Have strong communication skills and teamwork ability, be able to actively promote project progress and have strong sense of work responsibility.
· Proficient in sheet metal, plastic, die-casting processing technology and design
· Experienced in production and quality problem solving
· Knowledge about international (Chinese and German, etc.) standards and
regulations regarding mechanical parts of converters
· On-site experience and application know-how preferred
· Good English language in written and spoken forms
· Cooperation with various locations and partners including at international level
· Familiar with drawing change process of existing products
