Understands and applies software engineering principles, education and applicable technology to develop and support divisional products and their applications. Accomplishes the engineering tasks in a cost effective and timely manner.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Demonstrates ability to follow and execute given development methodology.
• Improves the functional capabilities of existing products.
• Solves functional, applications or production problems.
• Conceives of new features on new or existing products.
• Provides technical assistance to marketing, sales and service.
• Assists in the preparation of brochures.
• Use existing approaches to development, design, application, test.
• Develops original or innovative approaches to engineering design, cost reduction and problem solving.
• Develops thorough product understanding.
• Maintains updated knowledge of engineering techniques and technology relative to Danfoss products.
• Understands who the customers are and their requirements, expectations and needs.
• Provides value to customers by seeking and responding to customer feedback.
• Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance.
• Organizes, prioritizes and completes work assignments with quality and in a timely manner.
• Anticipates problem areas in advance.
• Applies creative approaches and ideas to solve problems, maximizing effective use of appropriate resources.
• Manages project schedules and reporting responsibilities.
• Shows ability to supervise and mentor an intern.
• Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Software programming experience is required, at least 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical components and embedded control systems.
• Be good at C programming skills, and solve complex algorithms control using C program.
• Be familiar with IEC61131-3 standard, Codesys programming experience for mobile machine.
• Familiar with the software development process, and be familiar with project management software.
• It is a plus that this person has hardware design background and/or experience.
• Experience in the mobile hydraulics field is a plus.
• Able to listen, read and write English. Able to fluently speak English is a plus.
