Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Manager in optimizing the offer portfolio and return on investment. Each day, you will ensure that ABB has full understanding of market requirements in a specific area and can transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.
This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in China.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Drive OEM Supplier Collaboration:
Act as the key interface between the agile team and UPS OEM suppliers—translating market and customer requirements into clear offering specifications, and ensuring that supplier solutions align with the team’s brand labelling and product standards. - Manage Product Lifecycle & Technical Specs:
Oversee the technical specification and lifecycle management of assigned UPS products, supporting the Product Manager in business case development, cost reduction, and ensuring technical solutions are leveraged across the OEM portfolio. - Market & Competitor Analysis for OEM Offerings:
Conduct in-depth market sizing, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking—identifying offering gaps and evaluating the team’s position in the OEM UPS space to inform roadmap and supplier strategy - Support Go-to-Market & Brand Labelling Initiatives:
Prepare and deliver market communication materials, support new offering launches, and clarify product positioning within the OEM UPS portfolio—ensuring each branded product line addresses specific segment needs and complies with internal standards. - Enable Sales & Customer Success:
Provide sales support, participate in customer meetings, and deliver training on new OEM UPS offerings—ensuring internal teams and customers are equipped with the knowledge and tools to promote and support the branded products effectively.
